Brilliantly dabbling in diverse mediums, starting as a revered sculptor and now digital photography, Galal Yousif is a vibrant visual artist. In the mist of political and civil unrest, he mustered visual art out of Khartoum, Sudan where he studied Applied Arts at the Sudan University for Science and Technology and specialized in sculpture and into the world.
Galal Yousif, has “the skills to create art out of any medium,” he indulges in experimenting with pencil drawing and lately migrated to water colors and inks. His work is inspired by what’s around him; all of the details, whether small or big. His work reflects a variety of styles, influences and techniques shaped by Sudan’s ethical and cultural diversity. Yousif is inspired by everyday scenes in the city, by painting abstract cityscapes in vibrant colors that capture the energy of the Sudanese people.
